CK Prahlad's concept of "Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid" is a model that recognises the interconnetedness of our world across heirarchies and levels. Inclusion takes away the gates or funnels that are structural regulators of the system. Transparency hits at the root of the us vs them syndrome typified by the cold war of the 60's. It breaks down the power structures created by funneling; wealth, information, products, services et al providing a playing field to all and power to the thoughts at our computer finger tips. The empowering impact of transparency has been recognised the world over and companies can no longer distance themselves from ground realities that are rooted in local and global concerns. Increasinlgy the ethical concerns, issues that affect individuals groups, nations & communities are coming to the fore. To my eye the beauty of it all is that we appear to be waking from a deep slumber. The blindfolds are slowly being removed. Homo sapiens can now reach out to inspire & empower each other to things far greater than themselves.
